I'm Hamed Alammar. I have Syrian roots, lived in Jordan, and now call Columbus, Ohio home. Along the way I founded communities and a business.

I founded Syrians in Jordan in 2015, which has grown to more than 45,000 members, and the Syrian Network in the United States in 2025. I am a photographer, and in 2019 I founded MIED as its Creative Director. I work in both Arabic and English.

Photography and visual storytelling

I studied Photography and Mobile Apps at SAE University College. I trained photographers in 2015, managed social media in 2017, and in 2019 founded MIED as Founder and Creative Director.

Business and operations

From October 2023 to May 2026 I was Founder and Store Manager of SAFWAH (AlHramayn LLC). Before that I worked in sales and operations as a sales supervisor and accountant, and as a real estate sales supervisor.

Languages and media

Arabic is my native language, both Levantine and Modern Standard, and I am fluent in English. I produce and edit audio, review archives, and from 2024 to 2026 I did contract Arabic transcription and AI data annotation.

  4. 2020 Kiron Digital Innovation Award 2nd Place. Joined mhmd3mmr Media as Audio Producer and Editor.
  5. 2023 Founded SAFWAH Opened SAFWAH (AlHramayn LLC) and ran it as Founder and Store Manager until May 2026.
  6. 2025 Founded Syrian Network in the United States Founder and Network Coordinator.
